These legs were exactly what I needed. We built a 4x8 table for an O-scale electric train. There are a lot of designs out there and most of them are homely if not downright ugly. We really wanted something that would enhance our basement entertainment room not detract from it. I kept seeing these hairpin legs over and over again but wasn't sure it was the right thing for us. But when I received reassurance that they could handle well over 800 pounds and perhaps up to 1000 pounds, I took the plunge. We used red oak plywood for the tabletop. One solid sheet forms the tabletop. Underneath we glued and tacked on six inch wide supports every 2 feet along the width and 2 - six inch wide supports going along the length of the table. The legs attached perfectly. Now all we have to do is build the scenery. Definitely a great purchase!
After not finding a table I liked for my children to use for schoolwork and art projects, I decided to make my own with a 3 ft-by-3 ft butcher block countertop. I found DIY Hairpin Legs and ordered a set of 3-rod hairpin legs. I appreciated that I cool order legs in a shorter size (26") to create a table sized for my children. The hairpin legs were well-packaged, well-made, and included clear installation instructions. The hairpin legs helped complete our table project, and our new table looks great.
Being able to speak to a rep over the phone really helped with the 3 leg design for our revamped butcher block table. Thanks KH
I bought the three-rod, 1/2" legs hoping to use them on a bed, though I was worried the height I wanted to be too tall for stability. Nope! They are solid. I did use cabinet screws rather than the wood screws that came with them-- would recommend this as well for anything that has to withstand motion (seating and beds, etc).
Absolutely 💯 satisfied! Beyond my expectations. Everything from the order to delivery to my new table was perfect. I have a very small space for a dining table so we built one. It is perfect! I'm not sure how to add a picture but would love to send one. Thank you!
